The CP Holiday Train is Coming to Town

The 411 on the Stops in New Hope, Golden Valley & St. Louis Park

The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train is coming to town! In fact, it’s coming to 3 towns, all on December 10: New Hope, Golden Valley and St. Louis Park. Don’t run out of steam trying to figure out where the train will be and when. We’ve got all the details right here, so you and your family will be ready to kick off the holiday celebration on the right track.

NEED TO KNOW FOR ALL TRAIN STOPS

Why: The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train is a traveling train spreading holiday cheer and collecting cash and/or food donations for local food shelves to support families in need.

Date for all Train Events: Sunday, December 10

Performers at all 3 Stops: Terri Clark, Dallas Smith and Kelly Prescott (according to the CP Holiday Train website)

Cost: Besides the potential expense of donating cash or nonperishable food items, the cost is FREE

Ages: All ages are welcome to join the fun!


NEW HOPE TRAIN

Where: New Hope Ice Arena (4949 Louisiana Ave N); Level Railway Crossing at 49th and Louisiana

Festivities Begin: 3:30 p.m.

Train Arrival: 3:35 p.m.

Event Duration: 3:45-4:15 p.m.

Need to Know: Parking will be limited. See MAP for parking info. All donations will benefit the Food Group.


GOLDEN VALLEY TRAIN

Where: Level Railway Crossing at Golden Hills Drive

Festivities Begin: 4:15 p.m.

Train Arrival: 4:50 p.m.

Event Duration: 5-5:30 p.m.

Need to Know: Use the Allianz and Colonnade parking ramps. See MAP for parking info or MAP for road closure/detours near event area. All donations will benefit PRISM.


ST. LOUIS PARK TRAIN

Where: Lake Street Crossing, in front of St. Louis Park Emergency Program (6812 W. Lake Street)

Festivities Begin: 5:30 p.m.

Train Arrival: 6 p.m.

Event Duration: 6:15-6:45 p.m.

Need to Know: There are several suggested parking ramps and lots for this event. See MAP for details.  All donations will benefit STEP.


ADDED FUN BEFORE THE TRAINS ARRIVE

Click HERE to download the CP Holiday Train coloring and activity pages. Once the sheets are all colored in, bring them to one of the food banks (Food Group, PRISM or STEP) to decorate the boxes that will be filled with donations from the event. What a fun and awesome way to show kids the importance of giving before the train arrives and celebrations begin.
