Snacking Made Easy with Go Umami Tofu Bars

By Nicki Medford September 19, 2018

Getting my kids to try new foods can be a challenge. While we tend to rotate through “tried and true” snacks and recipes at home, we are making more efforts to try new and different foods as a family.  Many times our kids are hesitant when we introduce something unfamiliar, resulting in a “You won’t know 'til you try it” response from Mom and Dad.  When we were offered the chance to sample a brand new grab n’ go snack called Go Umami Baked Tofu Bars, I welcomed the opportunity to share something new with my kids along with our local community!

We handed out Go Umami bars at one of our recent Macaroni Kid North Raleigh community playdates. Parents and kids gathered around, intrigued by the unique snack, and I had a great time encouraging everyone to try something new. During this event, I was delighted that my 5 year-old daughter found Go Umami really enjoyable! The bars have since become a regular snack for her and a great way to include protein in her lunches.
I love that Go Umami bars are also a healthier option than many of the grab n’ go snacks on grocery store shelves right now. They are a vegan snack boasting 5 grams of plant-based protein!  In addition to being Non-GMO Project Verified, these bars are gluten-free, Kosher certified, and low in sugar, calories and carbs.

Go Umami Baked Tofu Bars come in 3 unique flavors: Hickory Smoke, Savory, and Orange Teriyaki. My daughter’s favorite flavor is the Savory followed by the Orange Teriyaki. I'm so happy that we decided to try something new and discovered a tasty, healthy AND convenient snack option my semi-picky child!!

Go Umami is a product of House Foods and can be purchased on Amazon.com and at Fresh Market!

I was provided compensation and products to sample for the purpose of this review.  All opinions expressed are my own.
